Welcome! As many of us are enjoying this "Back to School" season, these newlyweds are enjoying their first days as Mr. & Mrs.! Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the glamorous "rose gold" themed wedding of Cameron & Breanna in Wichita, Kansas.
The day began at the Central Community Church in Wichita, a beautiful church that easily accommodated all of the family members and guests. The event was coordinated and planned by Ms. Tamara Ammons of Signature Weddings by Tamara. The sanctuary and reception were decorated gorgeously by The Stylish Soirées Events & Design, with draped soft pink and glittering fabrics, crystal chandeliers, roses, and additional crystals and personal touches. Prior to the ceremony, the guests viewed a charming pre-wedding video put together by Bray Films (see it here), about the Bride & Groom's relationship and hope for the future. The Bride walked down the aisle with her Father, a Bishop in their church, among a beautiful hand-laid aisle design made with rose petals. As is any event with this group, the music was performed live and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The singers during the ceremony could rival any gospel choir with their beautiful voices and stage presence. You couldn't help but clap, tap your foot, and sing along, even if you didn't know the words!
The reception was held at the Drury Plaza Broadview Hotel, Wichita, and was also lavishly decorated by the Stylish Soirees. The wedding party was introduced to energetic music as they strutted their stuff on the raised runway in the center of the reception venue. Giant L-O-V-E lighted letters occupied the corner by the exquisite 7-tiered wedding cake, and guests enjoyed a plated sit-down dinner as family members shared their messages of love, support, and encouragement to the Bride & Groom. Last, but not least, there was a "mirror-me" photo booth and candy bar provided for the guests as well.
The love of Christ was present throughout the day as people gathered to celebrate this young couple as they vowed to love one another for the rest of their days. I am excited for what their marriage has in store for them and their future family. I know they will be blessed as they honor God and one another as He calls us to. Thank you Breanna & Cameron for letting me witness your love story, and may your life be filled with love, laughter, and Happily Ever After in Christ! Hey, hey, hey! I am excited to share a few previews with you from last Saturday's wedding in the small town of Wetmore, Kansas, near Holton. What a blast it was! The couple got ready and held their ceremony at the Bride's home parish of St. James in Wetmore, Kansas. It was clear by the friends and family that came out for the event that the couple is dearly loved and supported by many! They had a packed ceremony and reception; what a blessing!
The reception was also held at the St. James Parish Hall but we took a small detour to go take a few photos around town. After the ceremony we went to visit the Groom's grandmother who was unable to make it to the ceremony. She lit up to see them and they even brought her a corsage of her own. It was a sweet moment that I am sure all will cherish.
The Bridal Party had a party bus for the transportation after so they had loosened up quite a bit before we hit Main Street in Wetmore, where we took a few more shots of the Bridal Party and the couple before heading over the big party. The reception had a great DJ that kept the party moving and everyone clearly had a great time. The Bride's sisters made a photo slide show of the Bride & Groom growing up, and of course photos of their time together, to share with the crowd. The venue was decorated with a ton of personalized bottles, jars, flowers, photos, etc. It was clear a lot of work went into this day, and a great day it was!
Keri & Logan - thanks so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding and engagement! I had such a great time, and know your marriage will be wonderful as your love for one another and your friendship is evident to all who see you together. May you always love one another with the love Christ has for year, and may your marriage be forever blessed!

Hello readers! Today I am excited to share with you the wedding of Megan & Dylan, a sweet couple from wonderful families that happily said their vows last Saturday. I had so much fun working with this group of people and witnessing their commitment to God and one another. I am confident their marriage will be blessed through their shared love and commitment to Jesus Christ.
The couple was married at the Highland Park United Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas. Not only was it a beautiful church and ceremony, but it is the same place the Bride's parents said their own vows decades before! I really enjoyed the sermon, it reminded me very much of my own wedding actually. It was not only personalized but personable and included a few laughs, but of course focused on the couple's desire to honor God through their marriage.
After the ceremony the wedding party and I headed over to the Ted Ensley gardens for some outdoor portraits before crossing the street to attend the reception at The Vinewood. The reception was a lot of fun with great music, food, and company! The security for the night was nice enough to offer his police car for some fun group photos also! So don't worry, no arrests actually took place in the making of these photographs. =)
Megan & Dylan, thanks so much for choosing me to be a part of your special wedding. Of course I wish you the very best, and had such a great time photographing this wonderful occasion. God Bless your marriage always, and may your love for one another grow stronger in Christ with each passing year.

Happy Spring! A couple of weekends ago I was happy to photograph a wedding for a lovely couple on their gorgeous property in Alma, Kansas. This Kansas State University wedding was setup outdoors with some hay bale seating for ceremony guests, a large tent for the reception, and, of course, touches of purple & white throughout as the decor.
The happy couple share a home with their three dogs that were entertaining in their own ways throughout the day! It is so funny how the personality of an animal can come through in such a short time - there was the wild girl who just wanted to be outside in the creek running through the property chasing bugs (who luckily did NOT get muddy paws on the Bride's dress, though the same couldn't be said for the living room! LOL), the guard dog who could have used a Xanax that day since the guests did not clear their arrival with her beforehand, and then the little shy gal that just quietly looked around and hoped people didn't show her too much attention. So anyway, enough about dogs I suppose...
The day was full of laughter, some chaos, and a large group of family and friends enjoying each other's company and ready to celebrate the couple. The quick ceremony was followed by dinner (catering and bartending provided by Friendship House) a few speeches, the cutting of the cake, the couple's first dance, parent dances, and then the guests enjoyed the outdoors including a bonfire, and games of horseshoes and cornhole. The Bride's sister was unable to attend the wedding due to being deployed. I know she was missed (as shown in the photo below!), and thank you to her sister (also named Stacey!) for her service. The day was a definite success, and it was a fun time!
The couple and I snuck away during the reception to take some photos on their awesome property that includes multiple acres of trees, grasses, a large creek, firepit, etc! If I was a dog (or a human!), I would be happy to live there too!
Thanks so much to Jenn & Bill for allowing me to share in your day! You are a wonderful couple and it was a pleasure working with you and your family & friends. May your life together be blessed, and your love grow stronger with each passing year! Head on over to their online gallery on the SZP website to view their wedding day!
