Wedding Photos for a small, courthouse wedding

I was contacted by this couple a few weeks before their scheduled marriage date to capture some photos of them on the day they said their vows.  The new Mrs. flew in from her current home state of Florida and they exchanged vows in a small, courthouse ceremony with their two witnesses.  They are planning a larger celebration in the future to share their commitment with family and friends, so I was honored that they chose me to capture their only memories of this momentous day.  I know sometimes it doesn't seem real until the "Big" day, but vowing to share your life with someone is much more important the first day it is done! Because they are officially husband and wife, and they will always know when they first made that commitment to one another, even if others don't.

This couple was a bit shy in front of the camera so my main goal was to back off and try to help them feel the moment as if I wasn't there.  Of course, being Kansas, a storm began to roll in and the wind picked up making it a little more work, but that is ok!  We were all happy with the end result, and I am happy they will have some fun, real, and beautiful memories to remember this day.
